The Certified pick-up system, also known as the Secure Chain, was implemented by carriers and ports in 2023. CPU is a completely digital system, applied to all import containers entering European ports. The system ensures that only known and authorized parties may take actions such as releasing or collecting containers. This provides extra protection to the logistic chain and offers better security, to combat possible fraud.
